University Golf in England
Earn a U.K. university degree whilst playing full-time golf
Sporting Solutions are proud to present an exciting opportunity to aspiring golfers that is unique in U.K. university sport.
This programme is designed to allow student to pursue a British university degree, whilst also pursuing their golfing ambitions. Students have a structured schedule planning each day of their week. Students will work on their physical condition, their mental game and spend time on the course. Each session will be carefully planned around an academic timetable, ensuring that students can take their golf career to the next level whilst earning a university qualification.
Available Academic Courses:
Whilst pursuing golf, students have the option to an academic degree in a number of different areas:
– Foundation degree in Tournament Golf (2 year course)
– Foundation degree in International Golf Management (2 year course)
– Bachelors degree in Tournament Golf (3 year course)
– BA in International Business Management (3 year course)
This programme is designed to allow student to pursue a British university degree, whilst also pursuing their golfing ambitions.
Play in both England and Portugal
Golfers who pursue this opportunity will split their time between England and Portugal each year. The first 10 weeks of the academic year will be spent in Cornwall, England.
After the New Years break studies will then resume in the Portuguese Algarve. Students will spend 12 weeks, training, competing and studying in the warm weather climate.
Pathway into U.S. College Sport
Our staff know whats it takes to become a college golfer in America and if you feel that this is a pathway that you want to explore, we are happy to assist. Start your degree in England, graduate in America!
After spending the first two years in England working towards a foundation degree, you would then have the option to stay a further year to complete your bachelors degree or transition to complete your undergraduate degree in America.
Fees:
The cost of the programme for 2019/20 is £9,250 for tuition, the same as all other undergraduate degrees in the U.K. plus £9,250 for all non academic fees.
This total price includes:
– Tuition for selected academic programme.
– All accommodation, both in England and in Portugal.
– Gym membership
– Coaching and performance management both in the U.K. and in Portugal
– Access to two courses during 1st Semester in England
– Access to two courses during 2nd Semester in Portugal
– Unlimited access to practice facilities including range balls both in U.K. and Portugal
– Entry into the Algarve Pro Golf Tour
– Standard pack of clothing
